Economic Data Release by Simon Medcalfe, PhD, Associate Professor of Finance and Economics

In September, the Hull College of Business Augusta Leading Economic Index (LEI) was little changed from August. The LEI has increased 1.3% from September 2016.

The Labor Market Index (LMI) increased 0.3% in September from August. The LMI has increased 1.7% from September 2016. Improvements were seen in all categories (unemployment rate, hours worked, weekly earnings and labor force) except employment which inched down by 300 jobs.
