Sales management team qualifies for Orlando event

For the second straight year, a Sales Management Simulation Team for Augusta University’s Hull College of Business qualified for the International Collegiate Sales Competition in Orlando, Florida.

Collegiate teams nationwide competed throughout April in a management simulation. The top 32 out of 80 teams received paid invitations to the ICSC event, which is November 13 and 14.

“A special thanks and sincere appreciation to Michael Myers and Lauren Goodenough, who are graduating next month, and agreed to assist the two students selected to compete this fall,” said Prof. William Rhodes, faculty mentor for the Augusta University Professional Sales Club.

Caroline Graham and Harrison Jones will compete in the upcoming Case Management Competition event in Orlando.

Goodenough and Myers were the spring competitors, placing Augusta University second in its four-team flight against Arizona State University, Southeastern Louisiana University and University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse.

The simulation is a realistic and challenging set of the decisions that a regional or national sales manager might make. After eight quarterly decisions, Goodenough and Myers drove the fictitious company to a profit and better market share.
