Hull College Welcomes New MBA Students

The Hull College of Business welcomed its incoming spring semester cohort of MBA students on Mon., Jan. 9, with a reception before their first MBA class.

This cohort consists of professionals across various industries looking to advance their careers, with our largest group of DMD/MBA students enrolled to date. This group of DMD/MBA dual enrolled students realize the importance of understanding business and having the foundational knowledge needed to run a business since most of them will own a practice in the future.

During the event, the students network and become better acquainted with each other prior to their first MBA class. We hope this allows them to be more comfortable going back into the classroom, as many of our MBA students are working professionals who have been out of school for a number of years. Dr. Susan Murray, professor of accounting and the first professor new MBA students encounter, along with other professors teaching in the MBA program, are able to meet the new students prior to starting the program.

“Our goal over the course of your program, and beyond your program, is to keep increasing the value of your degree,” said Dean Richard Franza, Ph.D. He told the new students that they are a “difference maker” in the program, as they will share their knowledge within the classes.

The Hull MBA is designed for working professionals which attracts leaders in the community. We are accepting applications for the Fall 2023 semester through June 15. To learn more and apply, visit https://www.augusta.edu/hull/mba-program.php.
