Certified Management Accountant scholarship winners announced

The accounting faculty at the Hull College of Business selected seven undergraduate students as winners of the CMA Scholarship offered by the Institute of Management Accountants and Augusta University. 

The winners are accounting majors Marla McCranie, Trey Birdsong, Brooke Parker, Alexander van Wyk, Guanyu Li, Alex Mann; and financial serivces major Richard Rubio Pallas.

The scholarship program includes:

  • IMA membership fee for three years
  • Entrance fee to the Certified Management Accountant program
  • Registration fees for the first attempt at both parts of the CMA exam
  • Two-year access to a test bank

“The CMA certification is the gold standard and is designed specifically for accounting and financial management professionals in business. Achieving the CMA designation demonstrates professional expertise in financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and professional ethics –— essential skills sought after by successful organizations and their financial team leaders,” said Dr. Susan Murray, an assistant professor at the Knox School of Accountancy.
